Our Programs Based in the United States

We currently operate a community-based learning center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Through our community-based learning center in Worcester, we provide ESL classes for new immigrant adults. We plan to develop the program further to include after-school tutoring for children and adolescents, GED and/or college preparatory services, and job skills training.

We actively invite volunteers to assist with our ESL classes and with the expansion of our programs at this location.

Our Community Learning Centers

Community Learning Center in

Worcester

Our Worcester, MA Community Learning Center was launched during the summer of 2015 as a pilot program to serve the refugee community in the greater Worcester area of Massachusetts. We held ESL classes every week at the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center, which was a non-profit organization located at 301 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA and devoted to assisting low income families in the neighborhoods where many of our prospective students resided. We are actively seeking to expand to other locations.

Since the launch of our ESL program, student numbers and the overall diversity of our classes have grown to the point that more volunteers have become involved, even recruited from within the refugee communities themselves.

In March 2017, we launched the Worcester Community Learning Center in a new office space, currently located at 48 Elm Street # 5, Worcester, MA 01609. The center was designed to serve as a home base for our New England operations with a new and more sustainable model. It involves regular class sessions interspersed with larger community events to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our students.

In addition to ESL training, we plan to offer afterschool academic support, GED and/or college preparatory services and job skills training. We hope to partner with like-minded organizations and reduce costs by sharing facilities and volunteers. We would also like to develop additional opportunities for meeting the more specialized needs of the immigrant and refugee communities of Worcester.

Worcester, MA Children’s Program
We target new immigrant and refugee families that have children in the greater Worcester area who might benefit from after-school enrichment programs. These programs include music training, homework help, and one-on-one tutoring by our volunteers.
